Cook is living in Manchester with sometime girlfriend Emma whilst drug running for a local gangster Louie,, whilst being very secretive about his recent history. When Cook steps in to protect Charlie, Louie's girlfriend from one of Louie's other henchmen he ultimately ends up sleeping with her, setting off a chain of events that force him to go on the run with both Charlie and Emma in the country, which ultimately ends with violence and murder.
